In celebration fo BT20, we wanted to take this moment and highlight important relationships that have made this milestone possible. Our first story is from William Chan, President of BrokerTeam Insurance.
BT20 has provided me an occasion to reminisce about the past and ponder about the future.
When I first joined the insurance industry, one of my first bosses told me, “Young man, follow what I’ve done in my career and you will go far.” This statement made an impression that change is not a necessity in the success equation, and as young as I was, I believed the old school way I was being taught will sustain us into the future.
When I joined BrokerTeam almost a decade ago, I quickly realized that our organization is not only driven by purpose, but also powered by a constant need for change. Our people are given new opportunities and then they move on to tackle new challenges, new colleagues join us to lend us their ideas and talents and propel us ever forward. We fully embrace change as a means for us to build a better company.
What a forward-thinking organization I thought. I was thoroughly inspired!
I live each day at BTI with the goal of helping others to feel the same sense of inspiration, and I feel lucky to have the honour and responsibility to usher BTI into a new age.
Our next decade will be a monumental one for the history of our organization. I foresee that we will fully mature and realize our potential to become one of the pillars in our industry. Let it start with BT20!
