In celebration of BT20, we wanted to take this moment and highlight important relationships that have made this milestone possible. Next up, we have Sean Graham who speaks about BrokerTeam as more than just a business partner for #EmpoweringDreams. It’s also about the bonding we share.
As BrokerTeam Group celebrates our 20th anniversary with BT20, it has given me an opportunity to reflect back on my time here with BrokerTeam and how it has changed my life.
I started in insurance at the young age of 18 when I entered the insurance program at Mohawk College. At the time I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with my career although I knew I wanted to create my own path.
During the first 15 years of my career, I spent my time learning on the job and soaking in everything there is about being a broker. I had many successes, failures and achievements at a young age. In the back of my mind I always knew I wanted more.
It was at one fateful industry event that I met two of BrokerTeam’s founders, Royle and James. We hit if off quickly, but I didn’t think much of it other than meeting new friends. Over the years I watched from afar the growth of Broker Team. When I decided I was going to start my own brokerage BrokerTeam was there to give me the helping hand I needed, something I could not have done on my own.
For the past decade I’ve enjoyed the support, comradery and expertise of my BrokerTeam colleagues. Most of all I’ve enjoyed the fun, food and laughter we’ve shared together. I’ve been lucky to say that I’ve had some excellent mentors and colleagues during my career. I’m thrilled to say not only has this continued with BrokerTeam but deepened in an even more personal way.
I am happy to celebrate these achievements with my friends, all the while knowing that we are still just getting started.
